![]() The render distance of ground detail is much further out In addition, all the characters and my shep now have very defined creases in their face which seems to enhance their facial movements which I find really enhances the story telling experience. My fem shep has freckles and various other little facial marks that Ive never seen before(shes an exact duplicate of my other fem sheps) The first I noticed is that for the "hacking" mini game, instead of pushing x,y,b,a in a pattern on the control pad for xbox, you are required to move a cursor through rotating rings into the center of a circle. Several differences popped up immediately, OP here, so I totally caved and downloaded Mass Effect 1, Its incredibly easy to get the game and all DLC for free. The part of PC gaming no one likes to talk about. This allows Shepard to use all weapon classes regardless of his class. This gives all squadmates the ability to use the Widow/Revenant/Claymore. e) Unlimited ammo, there are mods that give unlimited ammo, often by hitting "r" and reloading, it refills you weapons to maximum ammo. ![]() Very useful, but it really screws with the difficulty and the cainsplosion gets annoying after a while. This mod allows you to fire the Cain 10 times per mission instead of 10 times per game. This is usually used in conjunction with 3b) to increase the difficulty when you allow power use. c) There are mods to change enemy and friendly health/shields/weapon damage etc. This allows you to change the game to treat shields/armor/barriers like a second health bar, so you don't have to dink down the enemy health to unleash biotics and tech powers on them. Also allows for thermal clips to be ejected when ammo = 0 b) Use powers on shielded enemies. There are gameplay mods a) Old weapon heat system: Changes thermal clips to regenerate over time, mirroring the old weapon heat system. This is nice because you dont spend all day strip mining. Also, you can give yourself millions of credits and resources for upgrades. This allows you to edit certain flags in your Shepard, such as whether your squadmates are loyal, dead, choices you made in ME1, Wrex, etc. The game doesn't really have an active modding community but there are a few. Is there even quick keys on 360 or just the time stop power wheel? It is also probably easier to use KB/M for aiming and all of that good stuff. I've not spent much time playing on the 360 but I'd say its probably easier to use powers from 1-8 key slots than it would be to use on the 360. The 360 version plays somewhere between medium and high PC settings, the gameplay is a little different. Well, on a good PC it will be better graphically then on 360. I pose this question to fully understand and realize how enriching the experience can be on a PC for myself and for those who are going through the same experience. So my question to /r Masseffect is to what degree is the game fundamentally different in regards to graphics, playability, ease of use, modding and overall fundamental differences in the game between the two mediums. Eventually, once I get the Skyrim bug out of me I plan to jump back into Mass Effect full force on my new PC. However, after getting into Mass Effect communities online and seeing the screen shots of the game on a PC and browsing through the unique Shepards people have created with Shepard modding tools, I have gotten serious PC envy as a console gamer.Īfter graduating from University and landing a job with a pay rate far above what I was used to I recent I dropped $1400 on a new PC designed to play Skyrim. That being said I loved every minute of it. I have played through 1 & 2 nearly six times on multiple classes. My entire experience with the Mass Effect Universe has been through an Xbox 360. However, what I want to talk about today is the difference in quality, immersion, graphical capabilities, modding and user friendlyness between console and PC Like most of you this wonderful series is what I consider one of the greatest gaming creations ever.
